Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Jakarta Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda DKI Jakarta) recorded the realisation of original local revenue (PAD) in Jakarta at Rp8.74 trillion in the first quarter of 2026, or 15.16 percent of the target of Rp57.67 trillion.

“Components of taxes and local levies contributed 87.45 percent of the total realisation, or Rp7.64 trillion. Amid these fluctuations, DKI’s revenue can still survive,” said the Head of Bapenda DKI Jakarta, Lusiana Herawati, at City Hall, Jakarta, on Friday.

In addition, the realisation of revenue from the management of regional assets that has been approved is only 0.31 percent (Rp0.003 trillion), while other legitimate PAD, consisting of non-levy revenue from regional public service agencies (BLUD), giro services, and asset utilisation, has been realised at 23.39 percent (Rp1.09 trillion).

Meanwhile, transfer revenue has been realised at Rp0.83 trillion, or 7.40 percent of the budget target of Rp11.16 trillion.

“In addition, there is other legitimate regional revenue, which is still at Rp0 trillion; this is revenue from grants by Jasa Raharja. Usually, its realisation occurs in the third quarter,” said Lusi.

Previously, the Director of Regional Financing and Economy (P2D) at the Ministry of Finance, Adriyanto, during the Deliberation on Development Planning (Musrenbang) for the Regional Government Work Plan (RKPD) of DKI Jakarta Province for 2027 at City Hall, Jakarta, on Thursday (16/4), stated that the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government still has the opportunity to increase revenue from local taxes, one of which is from waste levies.

“Waste levies, for example. The regional regulation is already in place and has been effective since last year. This could actually be one of the efforts to strengthen the existing PAD potential in the DKI region,” said Adriyanto.

He also urged the DKI Provincial Government to explore local tax potentials, including by expanding the economic base or creating larger economic movements so that local tax potential can be collected more substantially.
