Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Regional Public Service Agency for Regional-Owned Enterprises (BP BUMD) of DKI Jakarta Province records that clean water service coverage in Jakarta has reached 81.49 percent as of 31 March 2026. “This figure has increased significantly by 13.82 percent compared to the first quarter of 2025, which was 71.59 percent,” said the Head of BP BUMD DKI Jakarta, Syaefuloh Hidayat, at City Hall, Jakarta, on Friday. Previously, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government targeted 100 percent clean water service coverage in the capital by 2029, or at least 90 percent by 2026. Another achievement mentioned is the wastewater service coverage, which has reached 27.78 percent. “We target at the end of 2030, the service to reach 51.36 percent, and for capacity additions, the construction of WWTPs (Wastewater Treatment Installations) continues, one of which is the TB Simatupang WWTP,” Syaefuloh stated.
