Indonesia’s Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has released a weather forecast for the Jakarta special capital region (DKI Jakarta) for Tuesday, 10 March 2026. Based on the latest report, most areas of Jakarta will begin the day with overcast conditions, but moderate to heavy rainfall is expected during midday and afternoon hours.

BMKG has issued an alert status for the DKI Jakarta region following the potential for extreme weather that could disrupt public activities and pose light hydrometeorological disaster risks, such as flooding.

Residents should remain alert to the potential for rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds of short duration in South Jakarta and East Jakarta between midday through to the early evening.

Weather analysts have noted that air humidity in Jakarta tomorrow will range between 70 and 95 per cent. This high figure indicates saturated water vapour content in the atmosphere, which frequently triggers sudden rainfall with high intensity (convective rain) even though the sun may break through in the morning.

In addition to rainfall, residents in the coastal areas of North Jakarta are urged to be alert to potential strong winds blowing from the northwest at speeds of up to 25 km/h. This condition could affect wave heights in Jakarta Bay waters.

BMKG urges the public to continue updating weather information through official channels and to prepare safe driving equipment. Ensure that drainage channels in your surroundings are not blocked to anticipate water overflow caused by moderate to heavy rainfall intensity.

The Meteorology, Climatology, and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) has issued an early weather warning for the Indonesian region on Tuesday, 10 March 2026. Currently, Indonesia’s weather conditions are influenced by two tropical cyclone systems observed in northern and southern regions. These rapidly changing weather conditions are expected to warrant attention in activity planning, particularly for land, sea, and air travel, as well as various outdoor activities.
