Jakarta — Several state-owned enterprises (BUMDs) of Jakarta focused on food supply are providing thousands of affordable staple packages during a Ramadhan bazaar held at Jakarta City Hall on 9-10 March 2026.

The food BUMDs involved include Perumda Pasar Jaya, PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, and Perumda Dharma Jaya.

Agus Himawan, Chief Executive of Perumda Pasar Jaya, stated that the event features a discounted staple package redemption programme organised by Jakarta’s food BUMDs.

“In this activity, residents can purchase discounted staple packages valued at IDR 150,000 for IDR 100,000, thereby assisting the community in obtaining essential goods at more affordable prices during Ramadhan,” Agus said in a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday.

According to him, the three BUMDs are providing 3,000 staple packages, with each contributing 1,000 packages—1,000 from Perumda Pasar Jaya, 1,000 from PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya, and 1,000 from Perumda Dharma Jaya.

Agus explained that the staple packages provided by each BUMD have different compositions.

Perumda Pasar Jaya is offering packages containing 5 kilogrammes of premium rice, 2 litres of cooking oil, 1 kilogramme of sugar, 1 kilogramme of wheat flour, and a shopping bag.

PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya is providing packages comprising 2.5 kilogrammes of long grain rice, 1 kilogramme of wheat flour, 1 litre of cooking oil, 1 kilogramme of sugar, 8 packets of instant noodles, 200 grammes of table salt, 60 millilitres of sweet soy sauce, 200 millilitres of UHT milk, and a shopping bag.

Perumda Dharma Jaya is offering various meat products for residents seeking to meet their protein needs during Ramadhan.

Beyond the Ramadhan bazaar, Agus noted, the event also features aid distribution for orphaned children and live music entertainment to enhance the bazaar atmosphere for visitors.

“Through this Prime Ramadan Jakarta Bazaar, we wish to present a market that is not only a transaction venue but also a more inclusive interaction space for the community,” Agus said.

He noted that collaboration among the food BUMDs also represents a commitment to strengthening grassroots economics whilst delivering beneficial programmes for the community during Ramadhan.

Agus expressed hope that the activity will further strengthen the market’s role as a centre of people’s economy that is adaptive, creative, and relevant to contemporary developments.
