The following is a summary of the key stories.

**1. Transjakarta suspends operations on several routes due to flooding**

PT Transjakarta temporarily suspended a number of service routes on Friday morning owing to waterlogging and flooding caused by heavy rain at several locations.

"There have been operational adjustments on several Transjakarta routes and services during Friday morning rush hour," said Transjakarta Head of Public Relations and CSR Ayu Wardhani in Jakarta.

**2. Provincial government to crack down on problematic padel courts in Jakarta**

The DKI Jakarta Provincial Government is set to take action against padel courts that disturb public order and have failed to obtain approval from local residents.

"On Monday or Tuesday, we will immediately decide on padel courts that disturb public order, that have not obtained approval from local residents, and whose permits are incomplete — the DKI Jakarta government will take firm action," said DKI Jakarta Governor Pramono Anung in South Jakarta on Friday.

**3. Man killed after being struck by train at Angke railway crossing in West Jakarta**

A man with the initials MZJ (24) was killed after being struck by a train at the Angke railway crossing in Tambora, West Jakarta, on Thursday (19 February) evening.

The majority of Kebon Pala residents in Kampung Melayu expressed their willingness to accept the Ciliwung River normalisation plan to address flooding in Jakarta and surrounding areas.

"Indeed, the fundamental problems persist. Congestion remains, flooding remains, and then the issue of pollution persists as well. And what we want is to at least reduce these from current levels," said Pramono at an event entitled "One Year of Building Jakarta From the Ground Up" at Taman Bendera Pusaka on Friday.
