Jakarta Provincial Government Could Freeze Businesses That Fail to Pay THR 2026
The Jakarta Provincial Government has issued a stern warning to businesspeople to comply with the rules on paying the Eid al-Fitr 2026 THR (holiday allowance). Companies found to violate the provisions face severe administrative sanctions, including the risk of having their business activities suspended. Suharini Eliawati, Assistant for Economy and Finance to the DKI Jakarta Secretary, said the provincial government has prepared a monitoring and enforcement scheme for companies that fail to disburse workers’ annual rights (the THR). To ensure transparency and speed in handling complaints, Pemprov DKI Jakarta directs all complaints through a single entry point. Workers experiencing difficulties can report through the official channel of the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker). The channel is opened seven days before Eid, and THR complaints are processed via the one-stop portal on the THR Post of Kemnaker RI at https://poskothr.kemnaker.go.id, according to Suharini Eliawati in Jakarta on Wednesday (4 March 2026). Suharini, known as Eli, emphasised that the Dinas Tenaga Kerja, Transmigrasi, dan Energi (TKTE) of DKI Jakarta will not hesitate to issue sanction recommendations to the Dinas Penanaman Modal dan Pelayanan Terpadu Satu Pintu (PM-PTSP) for companies that persist in disregarding government warnings. The following are the steps of administrative sanctions to be imposed on THR rule violators: 2025 Evaluation Note: In the THR 2025 period, 422 companies were reported. 21 companies were given written warnings and 3 companies received recommendations for further administrative sanctions due to ignoring government warnings. For workers in the DKI Jakarta area who wish to file complaints, make sure to prepare supporting evidence such as payslips or employment contracts. Submissions will be verified by labour inspectors before summoning the companies. This step was taken by the DKI government to ensure workers’ welfare amid preparations for Eid al-Fitr 2026, while ensuring the business climate in Jakarta remains within the legal framework.
