JAKARTA – The Jakarta Education Department (Disdik) has stated that students involved in brawls may lose their Jakarta Smart Card (KJP) assistance. Head of Disdik DKI Jakarta, Nahdiana, said 20 students had their KJP revoked in 2025, increasing to 40 in 2026.

She emphasised that student brawls cannot be solely attributed to schools, noting that education is influenced by family, community, and digital environments. ‘How can unity in Jakarta’s education process be demonstrated, orchestrating between home, school, community, and even media?’ Nahdiana said.

To prevent brawls, Disdik DKI collaborates with agencies including Densus 88, the National Counter-Terrorism Agency (BNPT), and Jakarta Metropolitan Police. ‘With Densus 88, we have received recognition from the National Police Chief for our rapid detection and reporting of incidents,’ she added.

Additionally, Disdik DKI has activated the School Community Communication Forum and School Visitation Programme as part of efforts to prevent student misconduct.
