MATARAM, West Nusa Tenggara: The local district court here sentenced on Wednesday six defendants to one and a half months imprisonment each for looting a chicken factory farm during the January riots.

Setion bin Amaq Sehe, Nurdin, Kardi, Sarimah Amaq Nu, Sap and Munihat, were found guilty of violating the Criminal Code's Article 363 on robbery.

The six will join seven other convicted looters whose sentences were passed at an earlier hearing on Monday.

State prosecutors demanded two and a half months in prison for each of the 13 defendants.

The trial of four people accused of possessing weapons and provoking the riots is still underway, Antara reported.
