Jagorawi Toll Road Flooded, Rest Area at KM 10 towards Bogor Temporarily Closed
JAKARTA - The impact of high rainfall on Friday (20/3/2026) and Saturday (21/3/2026) has caused the Jagorawi Toll Road section from KM 12+800 to KM 12+600 towards Jakarta to be flooded with water up to 30 cm deep.
“Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT) Regional Division through Representative Office 1 (RO1), as the manager of the Jagorawi Toll Road section, is handling the flooding,” said Senior Manager of Representative Office 1, Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad Regional Division, Alvin Andituahta Singarimbun, in an official statement on Saturday.
He stated that the flooding was first observed at 16:45 WIB.
Field observations by officers indicate that the flooding was caused by water volume exceeding the drainage capacity, due to the high inflow from both the toll road and the surrounding community areas.
As a result, the water in the drains overflowed and inundated the toll road.
Currently, JMTM officers are cleaning rubbish at the drainage locations to speed up water flow.
“At present, the outer shoulder, lane 1, and lane 2 are temporarily impassable, while lanes 3 and 4 remain accessible to road users,” he said.
In addition, flooding has also been observed at the Rest and Service Area (TIP), or rest area, at KM 10 on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Bogor.
As a result of this incident, the clean water pumps have been damaged and cannot be used temporarily. Therefore, at the discretion of the police, starting at 19:30 WIB, the TIP at KM 10 on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Bogor has been temporarily closed until all equipment can operate normally again.
