Jagorawi Toll Road at KM 12 Flooded with Water, Traffic Congested
Jasamarga Metropolitan Tollroad (JMT) Regional Division through Representative Office 1 (RO1), as the operator of the Jagorawi Toll Road section, is handling flooding from KM 12+800 to KM 12+600 on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Jakarta. The flooding began at 16:45 WIB with a height of 30 centimetres. Field observations by officers indicate that the flooding was caused by water volume exceeding the drainage capacity, along with high inflow rates from both the toll road and the surrounding community areas. As a result, water from the channels overflowed and inundated the Jagorawi Toll Road. Alvin Andituahta Singarimbun, Senior Manager of Representative Office 1, stated that JMTM personnel are currently clearing rubbish at the drainage site to restore smooth water flow. Meanwhile, Jasamarga Tollroad Operator (JMTO) personnel are regulating traffic at the flooding location. “Currently, the outer shoulder, lane 1, and lane 2 are temporarily impassable, while lanes 3 and 4 remain accessible to road users,” Alvin said in a press statement on Saturday (21/3/2026). As a consequence of this incident, the clean water pump has been damaged and cannot be used temporarily. Therefore, at the discretion of the police, the TIP at KM 10 on the Jagorawi Toll Road towards Bogor was temporarily closed from 19:30 WIB until all equipment can operate normally again. “Jasa Marga apologises for the inconvenience experienced during the flooding handling,” Alvin concluded.
