ITDC Distributes 21 Sacrificial Animals to Villages Surrounding Mandalika Special Economic Zone
InJourney Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) distributed 21 sacrificial animals for Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah, which falls on 27 May 2026. The animals were distributed to residents in seven villages surrounding the Mandalika Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB).
“Today, we held a handover ceremony for sacrificial animals in observance of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. This initiative was prepared by ITDC Group, its investors, and the wider ITDC family for the surrounding village communities,” said General Manager (GM) of The Mandalika, I Made Pari Wijaya, at the Bazar Mandalika on Monday, 25 May 2026.
In addition to the SEZ surrounding villages, Pari stated that ITDC also distributed sacrificial animals to the West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Government, Central Lombok Regency Government, and the local Indonesian Ulema Council (MUI). This gesture reflects ITDC’s commitment to sacrifice and solidarity with the local community.
“This is a sincere expression of our unity and spirit of sacrifice, carried out collectively for the advancement and welfare of the community,” Pari added.
All sacrificial animals were purchased from local livestock farmers in Lombok. Pari confirmed that all animals passed the consumption suitability tests conducted by the Central Lombok Agriculture and Livestock Office.
“We sourced these animals from local farmers as part of our efforts to empower the local community,” Pari explained.
The programme is an annual initiative by ITDC for the SEZ surrounding communities. Pari noted that the number of sacrificial animals distributed has increased each year.
“Last year, we distributed nine cattle and this year, ten cattle and six goats, along with five additional goats from investors in Mandalika, which were given to the local community near business sites,” Pari said.
Through this initiative, Pari hopes the surrounding village communities will feel the presence of the SEZ. He also urged local residents to continue supporting development in the area.
“Through this sacrificial animal programme, we seek blessings for Mandalika’s continued growth as a tourism hub and generator for West Nusa Tenggara,” Pari stressed.
A representative from Pujut District Karang Taruna, Gusti Sempanegare, thanked ITDC for consistently supporting the SEZ surrounding communities during significant events, including Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
“We thank ITDC for always being present during these occasions,” Gusti said.
The youth leader from Sukadana Village noted that Mandalika’s progress is closely tied to ITDC’s presence in Central Lombok. Beyond providing aid, the community is consistently involved in all events held there.
“As residents of the SEZ surrounding villages, we strongly feel ITDC’s presence. Most importantly, ITDC consistently engages the community in all matters, including major events at the Circuit,” Gusti explained.
