IRSX Expands AI Business Through Partnership with MiniMax
Folago (IRSX) and MiniMax have formalised a strategic partnership, appointing Folago as MiniMax’s strategic distributor in Indonesia in a signing ceremony in Shanghai. Folago had previously signed a partnership with YouTube on 23 October 2026.
Under the agreement, IRSX becomes an official MiniMax partner and can resell MiniMax tokens as the sole distributor to users within its ecosystem. It will also gain access to MiniMax technology to strengthen its short-drama production.
The signing ceremony, titled “Appointment Strategic Partnership”, was attended by Folago President Director Subioto Jingga and MiniMax Head of B2B Business Hu WeiQi. The move follows Folago’s expansion into AI-based film and micro-drama production, announced over the past month.
As MiniMax’s sole strategic partner and distributor in Indonesia, IRSX will resell the company’s tokens through the Folago ecosystem. The company says this ecosystem includes more than 250,000 digital creators and 125,000 e-commerce affiliates in Indonesia, providing a potential distribution channel for MiniMax’s AI services.
In addition to distribution rights, Folago can use MiniMax for its own needs within the ecosystem, including to speed up production of short dramas: vertical entertainment programmes with episodes lasting one to three minutes.
Through the partnership, Folago (IRSX) plans to become an “AI Token Factory” in Indonesia. Tokens are units used to measure and pay for AI services: whenever creators, businesses or developers run an AI model to generate text, audio, images or video, the usage is counted in tokens. As an official distributor, Folago aims to make it easier for users in Indonesia to access global AI services.
The MiniMax partnership is the foundation for that plan. IRSX is targeting agreements with other AI providers so that its ecosystem can eventually offer a range of AI services through a single distribution channel, positioning Folago as a major distributor of AI tokens in Indonesia. Its existing network of creators, e-commerce affiliates and businesses will provide an initial base of users.
“This partnership is an important step for Folago in bringing world-class AI technology to creators, businesses and the Indonesian public. We see a significant opportunity to broaden access to AI through our role as an AI Token Factory in Indonesia,” said Folago President Director Subioto Jingga.
“Indonesia is a dynamic market with a strong creator community. We are pleased to partner with Folago as our strategic partner and sole distributor in Indonesia, and hope this collaboration will help more creators and businesses make use of MiniMax technology,” said MiniMax Head of B2B Business Hu WeiQi.
MiniMax is an artificial intelligence company based in Shanghai, founded in December 2021. Its founders are Yan Junjie, the chief executive; Yun Yeyi; and Zhou Yucong, a computer vision researcher formerly with SenseTime. In March 2024, MiniMax raised about US$600 million in a funding round led by Alibaba, at a valuation of US$2.5 billion. Tencent, HongShan and IDG Capital were among its other investors. The company listed on the Hong Kong Stock Exchange on 9 January 2026 under the ticker 0100.
MiniMax’s products include its M series of language models, with the latest, M3, released on 1 June 2026; the Hailuo video-generation range; and MiniMax Audio for voice and music synthesis. Its latest video model, H3, was released in late July 2026. It offers 2K resolution, audio generated alongside images—including dialogue, sound effects and music—and reference features to maintain character consistency.
For Folago, the agreement continues its expansion in AI. PT Folago Global Nusantara Tbk (IDX: IRSX) describes itself as a creator-economy company operating in AI, media commerce and entertainment. Through its subsidiary PT Folago Artificial Intelligence Commerce (FAIC), it is developing AI micro-dramas, films, music, television adverts and live streaming, including through the KreasiKita platform.
On 24 September 2026, President Director Subioto Jingga said AI video-generation technology would strengthen production capacity in micro-dramas, films and music. The partnership enters a rapidly growing market. From a business perspective, the distribution role opens a potential new revenue stream from token sales beyond content production, while access to MiniMax’s video technology gives FAIC another production tool; the company had previously said it used Dreamina Seedance 2.5.
