Iran-Israel Tensions Have No Significant Impact on Indonesia's Investment Climate, Says Minister
JAKARTA - The escalating geopolitical tensions between Iran and Israel have yet to show any significant impact on Indonesia's investment climate. The government considers that the global situation has not affected foreign investors' interest or commitments.
Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Rosan Perkasa Roeslani affirmed that foreign investor interest in investing in Indonesia remains high and stable.
"If we look at investor appetite, it remains high. There has been no significant decline," said Rosan on Tuesday (24/6).
According to Rosan, the majority of foreign investors placing capital in Indonesia originate from Asian countries such as Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Malaysia, Japan and South Korea. These countries are considered to have investment focuses that are not significantly affected by the conflict in the Middle East region.
