Int'l triathlon c'ships in Lombok

JAKARTA (JP): Eighteen men and women from five Indonesian
cities, Australia, Hong Kong and Taiwan are on the list of
participants for an international triathlon meet scheduled to
start on Dec. 19 at Senggigi beach in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara.

"We expect 150 participants. We hope more countries will be
interested in taking part," Srigede, the deputy governor of West
Nusa Tenggara province, was quoted as saying by Antara in
Mataram, the province's capital, on Thursday.

The triathlon combines swimming, cycling and running. Its
participants will have to swim two kilometers, cycle 60
kilometers and run 10 kilometers. The meet will be the second one
to have been held in Lombok. (arf)
