InJourney-Managed Airports Serve 8.8 Million Passengers During Lebaran Period
PT Aviasi Pariwisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney recorded several achievements in the aviation sector during the Lebaran transport period from 13 to 29 March 2026. Airports under InJourney Airports noted a total of 63,222 aircraft movements, an increase of 9% compared to the previous year’s Lebaran period.
“The number of passengers served reached 8,870,677 people, up 6.4% year-on-year, reflecting the high mobility of the public that could still be managed optimally,” said InJourney’s President Director Maya Watono in a statement quoted on (2/4).
Domestic movements were the main contributors with 51,873 flights and 7,009,251 passengers. Each grew by 10.6% and 7.5% compared to last year.
Operational readiness was also evident from other supporting indicators such as a cumulative load factor of 81.6% and slot utilisation reaching 82.3%. In addition, there were 4,097 extra flights realised, or about 75.5% of the total planned additional flights.
“On the peak outbound flow on 18 March 2026, InJourney airports served 568,871 passengers, while the peak return flow on 29 March 2026 reached 603,575 passengers, an increase of 14.8% compared to the previous year’s peak return flow,” explained Maya.
She stated that these figures demonstrate the airports’ readiness to handle traffic surges during peak periods. Additionally, improved flight connectivity also served as another indicator of success.
During the 2026 Lebaran transport period, the total flight routes at 37 airports reached 1,487 routes, an addition of 53 routes compared to 2025. Meanwhile, the number of airlines operating at those airports was recorded at 247 airlines, an increase of 9 airlines from the previous year.
Maya conveyed that customer satisfaction levels also showed positive results in three main aspects. The overall satisfaction score for airport services reached 4.8; the travel experience during Ramadan scored 4.81; and the assessment of ambience, decorations, and holiday-themed activities received a score of 4.78.
“These ratings come from the Customer Satisfaction (CSAT) survey involving around 2,000 respondents or aircraft passengers at the airports,” she concluded.
Previously, data from the Ministry of Transportation recorded that the number of people travelling during the Lebaran Transport Period (13-29 March 2026) reached 147.55 million people. This figure rose 2.53% from the survey result of 143.92 million people.
The total number of public transport passengers also increased by 10.87% during this year’s Lebaran transport period compared to the previous year, from 21.23 million passengers to 23.51 million passengers. Air transport recorded 4.77 million passengers, up 6.97% from 4.47 million in 2025.
