Enseval, which previously only distributed pharmaceuticals under
in-house principles such as Kalbe Farme, Dankos and Bintang
Toedjoeh, is now trusted by such major foreign firms as Squibb,
Up-John and Eisai.
The scope of its distribution network is also related to its
commitment to develop and expand a sophisticated Management
Information System (MIS) as an important infrastructure
component.
"We have invested hundreds of millions of rupiah in computers.
The result is that our 26 branches are now on-line," Teddy said.
Apart from its regular coverage with salespeople, Enseval also
relies on its Active Telephone Ordering Program. In January 1999,
Enseval will supplement this with a Tele-Ordering System, which
is currently in final preparations.
Enseval has good reason for taking these steps. Not least is
the cultivation of relationships and provision of the best
service to customers, both principal and consumer. "Because of
this, our motto is one-day service," Teddy said. Enseval is ready
to send products quickly upon order. For principals, Enseval
always pays on time for each pharmaceutical product.
Teddy added that the computerized system was also Enseval's
proof of its ability to face the coming globalization era. It
fits into Enseval's vision to be both a national and
international leader. It also helps in the advancement of the
national pharmaceutical industry.
Teddy stressed the need for the facilitation of licensing for
pharmaceutical products coming into Indonesia, and to also
enhance the public's awareness on health issues.
