The property industry is not merely about developing projects, but also requires leaders who can spot opportunities, manage risks, and ensure business continuity. That view was shared by PT Diamond Citra Propertindo Tbk (DADA) with participants of the Mini MBA Real Estate Programme at the Real Estate Center for Strategic and Leadership (CSEL) Universitas Indonesia.

The UI CSEL programme is a practical training that focuses on strengthening strategic competencies in investment and property development through real-case studies and on-site project visits. The programme is designed to help participants develop entrepreneurial abilities in the increasingly digital era that is pivotal in the future of work. Since its establishment in 2020, CSEL has aimed to support students and young professionals in enhancing skills to bolster career success.

In the Sharing & Discussion session titled Entrepreneurship & Leadership in the Property Industry held at Dave Apartment, Depok, DADA shared real-world experiences about the dynamics of the property industry from the viewpoint of both practitioner and publicly listed company.

The event provided an interactive forum for students and young professionals to understand how property business challenges are tackled in practice, from project development and strategic planning to leadership practices within the company.

Bayu Setiawan, Director of PT Diamond Citra Propertindo Tbk (DADA), who attended as the keynote speaker, stressed that the property sector requires leaders who are not only oriented towards physical construction but who can also create long-term sustainable value.

“Entrepreneurship in the property industry is not merely about building assets, but also about building trust, integrity, and the sustainability of the business,” Bayu Setiawan said in a press release quoted on Thursday (21/5).

He explained that an ever-changing market makes property companies more adaptive to regulatory developments, shifts in consumer behaviour, and dynamic economic challenges.

Bayu added that DADA continues to introduce various innovations in every project developed, particularly to meet the needs of the younger generation. He noted that one form of the company’s commitment to delivering housing that is solvable for young people involves providing homes that are not only affordable in price but also designed to fit their needs and lifestyle.

“This is a commitment from DADA so that consumers can choose which layout designs truly suit them. This can be described as one of our marketing and sales strategies that sets us apart from other developers,” Bayu said.

In the discussion session moderated by Kresna Satya Prameswara, Coordinator of the Mini MBA Real Estate Curriculum at CSEL UI, participants actively discussed current issues in the property sector. Topics included project development strategies, team management in public companies, and the challenges faced by property issuers in sustaining growth.

Fithor Muhammad, Head of the Mini MBA Real Estate programme at CSEL UI, assessed that DADA’s presence provided a more practical and relevant learning experience for participants.

According to Fithor, students do not only gain classroom theoretical knowledge but also obtain a real-world view of leadership patterns and decision-making processes in the modern property industry.

“Collaboration with industry players is an important part of creating property human resources ready to face future business challenges,” he said.

This initiative also demonstrates the importance of synergy between academia and industry in producing property talent with strategic capability, visionary leadership, and strong market understanding.

Through this collaboration, DADA reinforces its commitment to continue advancing human resource development while strengthening Indonesia’s sustainable real estate ecosystem. (Z-10)
