Indosat to work on haj website

JAKARTA: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and state-owned
satellite company PT Indosat agreed on Tuesday to cooperate in
the provision of haj information through the Internet at the
website address informasi-haji.com.

The cooperation was signed by Director General for the
Guidance of the Islamic Community and Haj Affairs Taufiq Kamil
and Indosat's director of development Budi Prasetyo with the aim
of improving services for the provision of information on the haj
pilgrimage.

Under the cooperation Indosat will provide the technology
hardware, including design for the development of the website,
while the ministry will fill the website with various information
on the haj, plus updates.

The information will be given in the form of actual news on
the haj pilgrimage, tips on how to perform it, departure and
arrival schedules, weather information and those falling ill
during the pilgrimage, etc. -- Antara
