TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Deputy Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Todotua Pasaribu announced that investment realisation in the second quarter of 2025 reached Rp 475 trillion, higher than the first quarter figure of Rp 465 trillion.

"In Q1 we were already able to release a figure of Rp 465 trillion, and in Q2 we have reached Rp 475 trillion," said Todotua at the Pertamina Investor Day in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Meanwhile, the investment target for 2025 stands at Rp 1,905.6 trillion. According to Todotua, investment realisation in Q1 and Q2 2025 falls within a safe category.

Todotua expressed hope that investment realisation in Q3 and Q4 2025 could meet the target, given the various global economic challenges that could affect investment.

"Currently, Bappenas predicts our economic growth will likely remain around 4-5 per cent, but we must continue to have confidence in pushing for growth in investment realisation," he said.

Speaking about Pertamina's potential in attracting investors, Todotua, who also serves as Deputy President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), assessed that Pertamina had delivered a positive performance in 2024, reflected in its contribution to state revenue of approximately Rp 400 trillion.

Additionally, Todotua highlighted Pertamina's ranking as number three in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500. He said this demonstrated Pertamina's achievements in terms of corporate performance, management, and human resources.

"For partners and investors, this certainly serves as a spotlight on the performance achieved in 2024," said Todotua.

At the forum, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Simon Aloysius Mantiri offered 19 projects worth US$9.25 billion, equivalent to Rp 150 trillion, to prospective investors and partners.

"There will be opportunities to interact with Pertamina's subholdings and explore business cooperation across 19 projects worth US$9.25 billion," said Simon at the Pertamina Investor Day.

There are two pillars forming Pertamina's long-term focus. The first pillar is maximising business oriented towards strengthening national energy security, including the upstream sector, refineries, and fuel distribution. The second pillar is developing low-carbon business through biofuel development, geothermal energy expansion, new technology trials, and increased chemical products.
