Jakarta (ANTARA) - Deputy Minister of Investment and Downstreaming/Deputy Head of the Investment Coordinating Board (BKPM) Todotua Pasaribu announced that investment realisation in the second quarter of 2025 reached Rp475 trillion, surpassing the first quarter figure of Rp465 trillion.

"In Q1 we were already able to release the figure of Rp465 trillion, and in Q2 we have reached Rp475 trillion," Todotua said at the Pertamina Investor Day in Jakarta on Wednesday.

The investment target for 2025 stands at Rp1,905.6 trillion. According to Todotua, investment realisation in Q1 and Q2 2025 remains within a safe category.

Todotua expressed hope that investment realisation in Q3 and Q4 2025 would meet the target, noting various global economic challenges that could affect investment flows.

"Currently, Bappenas predicts our economic growth will likely remain around 4-5 per cent, but we must maintain confidence in pushing for growth in investment realisation," he said.

Speaking about Pertamina's potential to attract investors, Todotua, who also serves as Deputy President Commissioner of PT Pertamina (Persero), assessed that Pertamina delivered a positive performance in 2024, reflected in its contribution of approximately Rp400 trillion to state revenue.

Todotua also highlighted Pertamina's ranking as number three in the Fortune Southeast Asia 500, noting that this demonstrates the company's achievements in corporate performance, management and human resources.

"For partners and investors, this is certainly a highlight when looking at the performance achieved in 2024," Todotua said.

At the forum, President Director of PT Pertamina (Persero) Simon Aloysius Mantiri offered 19 projects worth US$9.25 billion, equivalent to Rp150 trillion, to prospective investors and partners.

"There will be opportunities to interact with Pertamina's subholdings and explore business cooperation across 19 projects worth US$9.25 billion," Simon said at the Pertamina Investor Day.

Pertamina has identified two pillars as its long-term focus. The first pillar is maximising business oriented towards strengthening national energy security, including upstream operations, refineries and fuel distribution.

The second pillar is developing low-carbon business through biofuel development, geothermal energy expansion, new technology trials and enhanced chemical products.
