The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) announced a year-on-year (yoy) growth of 5.61%. This growth rate is higher than the 5.39% in the fourth quarter of 2025 and the 4.87% yoy in the first quarter of 2025. “Year-on-year, the economy grew by 5.61%, which is higher than the 4.87% yoy growth in the first quarter of 2025,” stated BPS Head Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti during a press conference at the BPS headquarters in Jakarta on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
