Jakarta – The Head of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS), Amalia Adininggar Widyasanti, reported that Indonesia’s economic growth in the first quarter of 2026 reached 5.61 per cent year-on-year (yoy). She acknowledged that this national economic growth achievement of 5.61 per cent in Q1 2026 is higher than the economic growth in Q4 2025, which was 5.39 per cent. It is also higher compared to the economic growth in Q1 2025 last year, which only grew by 4.87 per cent. “Indonesia’s economic growth in Q1 2026 is 5.61 per cent,” said Amalia during a teleconference press briefing on Tuesday, 5 May 2026. She added that, when viewed nominally, Indonesia’s gross domestic product (GDP) in Q1 2026 at current market prices (ADHB) was recorded at Rp 6,187.2 trillion. Meanwhile, based on constant prices (ADHK), it was Rp 3,447.7 trillion. “Thus, Indonesia’s economic growth in Q1 2026 compared to Q1 2025 or year-on-year (yoy) grew by 5.61 per cent,” she stated.
