Indonesian Prosecutor's Office Collaborates to Ensure Success of Free Nutritious Meals Programme
The Indonesian Prosecutor’s Office is committed to ensuring the success of the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme, one of the national priorities. The Prosecutor’s Office has established cooperation with the National Nutrition Agency (BGN) regarding data exchange and preventing deviations through an integrated intelligence approach. Additionally, the cooperation extends to the village level through partnerships with the National Association of Village Consultative Bodies (ABPEDNAS). “This step aligns with Presidential Regulation Number 115 of 2025, which mandates cross-sectoral synergy to ensure accountability and on-target implementation of the programme,” said Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence (JAM-Intelligence), Reda Manthovani, during the synergy activity for supervision and evaluation of national nutrition fulfilment in Tuban and Bojonegoro Regencies, East Java, on Wednesday, 1 April 2026. ABPEDNAS, according to Reda, serves as a strategic partner in the field for early detection, actual data collection, and participatory monitoring to ensure the programme runs accountably at the village level. To support the effectiveness of supervision, the Prosecutor’s Office utilises digital information technology for real-time monitoring. This system functions as an early warning system to detect potential threats, disruptions, obstacles, and challenges (AGHT), such as budget misuse or distribution constraints. The “Jaga Dapur MBG” application emerges as a strategic digital instrument to strengthen transparency and accountability in the supply chain and distribution of the MBG programme managed by BGN. Through synergy with the Prosecutor’s Office Intelligence Division, this application serves as a real-time monitoring system overseeing food quality, service unit readiness, and beneficiary validity to prevent potential budget deviations or field distribution issues. The utilisation of this technology enables the creation of an early warning system capable of quickly detecting disruptions, allowing corrective actions to be promptly taken by law enforcement and programme implementers to maintain the integrity of national policy execution. The presence of this application is expected to become a solid bridge of collaboration between the government, the Prosecutor’s Office, and village communities in safeguarding national food security. With integrated digital-based supervision, it is hoped that every portion of food reaching students, pregnant women, and toddlers truly meets the established nutritional standards without administrative or technical barriers. The success of the “Jaga Dapur MBG” application is expected not only to guarantee programme governance efficiency but also to serve as an important foundation in producing a healthy, intelligent, and productive generation. Through strong synergy between central and regional governments, law enforcement, and communities, the MBG programme is hoped to make a real contribution to strengthening national food security towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045. Deputy Head of BGN, Retired Police Inspector General Sony Sonjaya, appreciated Deputy Attorney General for Intelligence, Reda Manthovani. “The commitment to supporting this programme through a strategic memorandum of understanding is an important pillar for us. The support from the Prosecutor’s Office Intelligence Division in securing the strategic programme and utilising digital technology through the”Jaga Dapur MBG” application for real-time monitoring provides us with a sense of security in carrying out field operations.” “We hope this collaboration continues and becomes even stronger.” Through strong synergy between central and regional governments, law enforcement, and communities, the MBG programme is hoped to make a real contribution to strengthening national food security towards the vision of Golden Indonesia 2045.
