Indonesian Police Seize Rp300 Billion in Assets in PT DSI Fraud Case, Including Offices and 5-Hectare Land
Jakarta — The Special Economic Crime Directorate (Dittipideksus) of the Indonesian National Police (Bareskrim Polri) has seized moveable and immoveable assets in connection with an alleged fraud case involving PT Dana Syariah Indonesia (DSI).
The moveable assets seized include one four-wheeled vehicle and two two-wheeled vehicles registered to PT DSI. Immoveable assets comprise land, buildings, and certificates of ownership (SHM) or certificates of building rights (SHGB).
Brigadier General Ade Safri Simanjuntak, Director of the Special Economic Crime Directorate at Bareskrim Polri, detailed that investigators seized three PT DSI office units located in the office district of South Jakarta, and one shophouse located in Buncit, South Jakarta.
Regarding land and buildings, investigators have seized a property measuring 11,576 square metres located in Bekasi Regency. Additionally, an empty parcel of land measuring 401 square metres located in South Jakarta was seized. A vacant plot of approximately 5.3 hectares in Bandung City, West Java, was also seized.
“The status quo is in the seizure process,” he stated on Thursday, 12 March 2026.
Furthermore, land and a building measuring approximately 5,480 square metres located in Deli Serdang Regency, North Sumatra, are also undergoing seizure proceedings.
Beyond moveable and immoveable assets, investigators also seized receivables and cash. PT DSI’s receivable assets seized comprise 683 certificates of ownership or building rights. Regarding cash assets, investigators seized Rp2.1 billion in cash, froze 31 bank accounts worth Rp4 billion, and froze 13 deposit accounts valued at Rp18.8 billion.
“From the coercive seizure efforts conducted by the investigative team, the total estimated value of assets secured is approximately Rp300 billion,” he stated.
He noted that asset tracing will continue to be conducted optimally as part of the investigation’s development, targeting both prospective additional suspects and PT DSI as a legal entity, to maximise efforts to recover losses for victims.
