The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has urged the public to utilise the Polri Call Centre 110 service if they experience disruptions during their journey for the 2026 Eid holiday exodus. This service has been prepared to facilitate the public in obtaining assistance from field officers.

“If the public experience disruptions on the road, they can dial the Polri 110 hotline. This is to facilitate Polri in providing field services,” said Deputy Police Chief (Wakapolri) Lieutenant General Dedi Prasetyo whilst observing the exodus traffic flow at the Command Centre at Km 29 Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, West Java, on Saturday, 14 March 2026.

In addition to the emergency hotline, Polri has also prepared an information dissemination system for the public through SMS blast technology. Lieutenant General Dedi noted that this facility will be used to provide information on traffic conditions on exodus routes experiencing congestion.

He expressed hope that such notifications would assist travellers in determining their travel route to avoid congestion points. “We also have SMS Blast, so when routes become congested, this can be communicated to the public early so they can determine which route to take,” he said.

According to him, SMS blast will also be utilised to convey information related to traffic management engineering policies applied during the exodus and return journey for Eid. “SMS blast will also be used when traffic management engineering measures are implemented,” said Lieutenant General Dedi.

Polri, he said, will notify the public approximately two hours before traffic management engineering is implemented, such as contraflow systems or one-way systems on certain toll road sections. “For example, from kilometre 29 to kilometre 70 or to Kalikangkung kilometre. This will then be communicated to the public earlier,” explained Lieutenant General Dedi.

On this occasion, Dedi also emphasised that the security of the exodus this year is themed “Safe Journey, Happy Family”. This is hoped to become a collective spirit for both officers and the public so that the Eid exodus and return journey in 2026 proceeds safely and smoothly.

“The slogan for Operation Ketupat 2026 is ‘Safe Journey, Happy Family’. This will continue to be the slogan for both officers and members of the public who will undertake the exodus and later the return journey,” he concluded.

For information, Operation Ketupat 2026 runs for two weeks, from 13 March to 25 March 2026, involving 161,243 combined personnel. Polri has prepared 2,746 posts consisting of 1,624 security posts, 779 service posts, and 343 integrated posts, serving as information and service centres for the public undertaking travel. Security efforts will also be focused on 185,607 locations including mosques, Eid prayer locations, tourist attractions, shopping centres, terminals, ports, railway stations, and airports.
