Inspector General of the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah Dendi Suryadi said the repatriation process would proceed in an orderly manner based on the departure schedule of pilgrimage groups from Indonesia.

“The first group departed from Indonesia on April 22, 2026. Ideally, they should be the first to return on June 1,” Dendi said in Mecca on Saturday.

He explained that the return schedule serves as the primary basis for PPIH in preparing operational arrangements, including flight schedules, bus transfers to airports, and hotel services.

Although adjustments may be required on the ground, Dendi said any changes would be measured and are expected to affect no more than 20 percent of the original schedule.

PPIH has also prepared special mitigation measures for pilgrims who are ill or have yet to perform the farewell tawaf.

Overall, Dendi assessed this year’s Hajj services as successful and well-managed. He said all issues identified during operations would be used as evaluation material to further improve the quality of Hajj services.

Ahead of the return phase, he urged pilgrims to begin preparing their luggage.

He reminded pilgrims to pack their belongings properly, comply with airline baggage limits, and follow regulations regarding the transport of Zamzam water to ensure smooth airport procedures.

The first wave of pilgrims will return between June 1 and 15 through King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah.

The second wave is scheduled to return between June 7 and 30 through Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz Airport (AMAA) in Medina.

In addition to preparing for the return phase, officers are continuing to assist Nafar Tsani pilgrims returning to their hotels in Mecca after completing the stoning ritual in Mina.
