Annual travel and tourism exhibition, The 21st Indonesia Travel Fair (ITF) 2026, is set to Welcome the public once again under the theme ‘The World on Sale is Back’. The event aims to catalyse the revival of Indonesia’s tourism, aviation, hospitality, and health tourism sectors.

Notably, this 21st iteration coincides with The 7th Indonesia Wellness & Health Tourism Expo (IWHTE). The collaboration is scheduled to run for three days from 29 to 31 May 2026 at the Jakarta International Convention Centre (JICC) in Jakarta.

Organisers project massive public interest, with a target of over 30,000 visitors and potential transactions exceeding Rp60 billion.

Through cross-sector collaboration involving travel agencies, airlines, tourism promotion bodies, hospital networks, and health institutions, ITF 2026 aims to offer affordable, high-quality holidays that promote healthy lifestyles.

Attendees will be presented with exclusive offers, including promotional flight tickets, domestic and international travel packages, Umrah and religious tourism packages, wellness tourism options, and medical check-up packages.

acting Deputy of Events Development at the Indonesian Ministry of Tourism, Drs. Vincensius Jemadu, MBA, emphasised ITF 2026’s crucial role in strengthening the national tourism ecosystem.

‘We hope this event will not only boost tourist movements but also enhance Indonesia’s competitiveness as a premier destination in the region,’ Jemadu stated in a written release on Thursday, 28 May 2026.

Sandiaga S. Uno, Chairman of Indonesia Health and Tourism Society, highlighted the integration of health and tourism sectors as a new economic growth engine for Indonesia, aiming to position the country as a global health tourism leader.

‘We are proud that for the first time, nearly all major hospital networks have come together, representing over 300 quality hospitals across Indonesia under one health tourism collaboration,’ said Uno.

Panca R. Sarungu, Chairman of ITF, added that this year’s exhibition brings optimism amid global dynamics. The tourism sector has proven resilient despite challenges, including geopolitical tensions in the Middle East affecting global travel.

‘We hope this event will reignite Indonesia’s tourism through industry collaboration, increased travel, and renewed optimism for the travel, hospitality, and health tourism sectors,’ Panca R. Sarung concluded.
