The Government of the Republic of Indonesia and the Government of the Russian Federation signed the Agreed Minutes of the 14th Joint Commission Session (SKB) on Indonesia-Russia Cooperation in Trade, Economy, and Technology on Tuesday (12/5) in Kazan, Russia.

The signing was conducted by Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto on behalf of the Indonesian Government and First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia Denis Manturov on behalf of the Russian Federation Government.

Coordinating Minister Airlangga stated that the signing of the Agreed Minutes of the 14th Indonesia-Russia SKB reflects the commitment of both countries to continue strengthening and following up on bilateral cooperation in various priority sectors, in line with the directives of the leaders of both countries in promoting the strengthening of bilateral relations between Indonesia and Russia.

“This document serves as an important reference for both countries in continuing and strengthening the implementation of cooperation in various priority sectors as well as mapping various potentials that have not been well developed so far,” said Coordinating Minister Airlangga.

Quoting a press release from the Coordinating Ministry for Economic Affairs, the Agreed Minutes is a joint document that contains developments in the implementation of bilateral cooperation, agreements reached in the SKB, and the direction for follow-up cooperation in various priority sectors. This document serves as an important reference to ensure the continuity of implementing the results of discussions between the two countries in a more directed and concrete manner.

The substance of the Agreed Minutes covers strengthening cooperation in various strategic sectors, including trade and investment, renewable energy, agriculture and fisheries, industry, transportation and construction, higher education and science, health, tourism, culture, digital development and mass media, sports, geology and the utilisation of mineral resources, as well as urban solid waste management.

Through this signing, Indonesia and Russia reaffirm their joint commitment to continue strengthening bilateral partnerships that are mutually beneficial to both countries, and aligned with the national development priorities of each country.
