Jakarta (ANTARA) — PT Reasuransi Indonesia Utama (Persero), or Indonesia Re, is supporting the 2026 Free Homecoming Travel Programme for State-Owned Enterprises (SOEs) to deliver homecoming travel that is safe, comfortable, and protected.

“Through our reinsurance role, we ensure a robust risk mitigation system, enabling the public to travel more safely and with greater protection,” stated Mardian Adhitya, Head of TJSL & ESG Division at Indonesia Re, in a statement on Wednesday.

The 2026 Free Homecoming Travel Programme for SOEs will transport a total of 116,688 homebound passengers to more than 200 cities across Indonesia using buses, trains, and ships.

Specifically, over 64,000 passengers will travel by approximately 1,400 buses, nearly 33,000 will use 99 train series, and over 5,000 will use 42 ships.

The bus departure ceremony was held at Gelora Bung Karno, Jakarta, on Tuesday (17/3/2026).

Indonesia Re participated by transporting passengers on the Jakarta-Wonogiri route.

To support safety aspects, the company also provided a live location feature to monitor travel and ensure passengers arrive at their destinations safely.

Tedi Bharata, Deputy Head of the SOE Regulatory Agency, stated that through the theme “Safe Homecoming, Shared Hope”, SOEs are committed to delivering homecoming travel that is safe, orderly, and meaningful for the public.

Meanwhile, Danantara Rohan Hafas, Managing Director of Stakeholder Management at BPI, said the programme aligns with President Prabowo Subianto’s directive for SOEs to focus not only on business performance but also deliver tangible benefits to society.

Muhammad Awaluddin, Chief Executive of Jasa Raharja and Chair of the 2026 Free Homecoming Committee, added that the programme goes beyond merely providing transport facilities—it is part of SOEs’ social responsibility to ensure public safety during homecoming journeys.

The 2026 Free Homecoming Programme also enhanced its services through an integrated registration system across SOEs and the Ministry of Transportation, ensuring data accuracy and preventing duplicate registrations using national identity numbers as a single identifier.

Indonesia Re considers the cross-SOE collaboration in this programme an exemplary partnership that strengthens the ecosystem of public protection and safety whilst supporting national economic development and welfare.
