Indonesia-Poland Business Forum Records 128 Billion Rupiah in Transaction Potential
Jakarta — The Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw continues to strengthen economic diplomacy through the Indonesia-Poland Tourism Business Forum 2026, which recorded transaction potential valued at 7.579 million US dollars (approximately 128 billion rupiah).
Acting Chargé d’Affaires at the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw Agus Heryana, through a press statement received in Jakarta on Thursday, stated that the forum generated 693 business matching results between Indonesian and Polish tourism industry players.
“This forum demonstrates that despite the challenging global situation, Indonesia-Poland tourism cooperation retains very strong prospects,” Agus Heryana said in the statement.
The business forum, held on Monday (9 March) in Warsaw, marked the fourth edition and serves as a key platform for bringing together tourism industry players to explore concrete cooperation opportunities and expand the Polish tourist market to Indonesia.
The Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw collaborated with ASITA to present 21 Indonesian tourism industry players comprising tour operators and hotel representatives from various Indonesian premier destinations, including Bali, Lombok, North Sumatra, and Bangka Belitung.
On the Polish side, 33 tourism industry players participated in the forum to explore cooperation opportunities in tourism packages, destination promotion, and development of the Polish tourist market to Indonesia.
Furthermore, the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw noted that the number of prospective participants who registered for the forum exceeded actual attendance, attributed to the geopolitical situation in the Middle East affecting international mobility.
Nevertheless, the embassy emphasised that the increased transaction potential recorded at this year’s forum demonstrates that Polish market demand for Indonesian tourism remains strong.
In 2025, 68,100 tourists from Poland visited Indonesia, an increase from 41,988 visitors in 2023 and 53,907 in 2024. This represents a 62.2 per cent increase compared with 2023 and marks the highest number of Polish tourist arrivals to Indonesia since 2017.
This achievement also places Poland as the eighth-largest European source of tourists to Indonesia and among the six fastest-growing European countries sending tourists to Indonesia.
Beyond business forums and tourism exhibitions, the Indonesian Embassy in Warsaw also intensifies familiarisation trip programmes in collaboration with airlines and tourism industry partners, directly introducing various Indonesian premier destinations to Polish tourism industry players.
