Indonesia Opens Doors for Global Education Collaboration to Strengthen National Human Resource Capacity
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology (Kemdiktisaintek) states that Indonesia is opening opportunities for global educational institutions to collaborate as part of strengthening national capacity, particularly in talent development, research, and innovation. This was expressed by the Director General of Research and Development at Kemdiktisaintek, Fauzan Adziman, during the 5th Education Investment Forum (EIF) 2026 themed “Funding the Future of Learning”, held in Jakarta on Tuesday (14/4). Fauzan mentioned that expanding strategic international partnerships is part of efforts to drive the transformation of the learning system and strengthen the national research ecosystem. He highlighted the importance of partnership models that understand gaps as a key factor in supporting the success of collaborations. “This is necessary so that every collaboration can run effectively, sustainably, and provide optimal benefits for all parties,” he said. Fauzan stated that his side is also continuously opening opportunities for various adaptive collaboration schemes, including joint research and development programmes aligned with national priority policies, as part of efforts to strengthen synergy between domestic institutions and international partners. “Partnerships designed in a targeted and sustainable manner will be an important factor in strengthening the contribution of research and education to national development,” said Fauzan Adziman. The 5th Education Investment Forum (EIF) 2026 featured representatives from government and global institutions sharing experiences in developing partnerships in Indonesia, including adapting collaboration models and strengthening ties with local partners.
