Indonesia joins Disney shows
JAKARTA (JP): The Indonesian Tourism Promotion Board will support Indonesia's Independence Day event to be held by Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, from Aug. 17 to Aug. 19.
The board said on Tuesday that it would participate in Disney's regular 30-minute duration shows held daily, which, during the three-day event, would present some Indonesian songs, including the national hymns Indonesia Raya and Tujuh Belas Agustus, and perform traditional dances.
Songs and dances would be performed by Indonesian children under the supervision of Fitri Nurbaiti, an Indonesian employee at the Disney Animal Kingdom.
The culture show, which is expected to help promote Indonesia's tourism, will be held at the Disney Animal Kingdom, which is visited by a daily average of 25,000 spectators from throughout the world. (cst)
