TEMPO Interactive , Jakarta: Indonesia is in fifth place of the users of advertisement services via Internet mobiles that can be accessed by cellular phones.
According to research by AdMob, an United States' Internet mobile market network provider company, entitled Mobile Metrics Report 2008, advertisements in AdMob's network were seen 116 million times by Indonesia's inhabitants.
The 116 million of number contributed 5.7 percent to the total AdMob's network advertisement impressions, 2.02 billion in the world throughout 2007.
The advertisement users mostly used Nokia cellular phones.
In the first place in AdMob's list is the United States advertisement market with 897 million ad impressions, followed by India, South Africa and England.
In total, most of the advertisement viewers use Nokia products, followed by Motorola and Sony Ericsson.
In the regional category, AdMob advertisement network's largest market is dominated by northern America with 45.8 percent market segment.
As regards Asia, it is the second largest market, followed by Western Europe, Africa, Eastern Europe, Latin America and Oceania.
Despite the increase in the mobile advertising market in 2007, AdMob's Vice President of Marketing Jason Spero reminded that AdMob's data could not be an indicator of wireless web development.
“We don't yet know how much this business market will be,” he said on the AdMob.com website.
