Minister of SMEs Maman Abdurrahman emphasised that the Indonesia-China investment forum in Beijing represents a strategic momentum to encourage national business actors, especially SMEs, to enter the global value chain while strengthening bilateral investment flows.

“This forum holds strategic significance in strengthening the economic partnership between the two countries, particularly in developing SMEs as the backbone of the national economy. Business actors must be able to integrate into the global value chain and adapt to digital transformation and technological innovation,” Maman stated in his remarks on Saturday (4/4).

The Indonesian Ambassador to China and Mongolia, Djauhari Oratmangun, assessed that the forum opens up broader and results-oriented collaboration spaces.

“This is an important momentum to strengthen sustainable partnerships between Indonesia and China,” he said.

In agreement, ATTEC General Chairman Budiharjo Iduansjah stressed that the forum is not merely a dialogue space but a bridge to concrete cooperation.

“Both in the form of investment, market expansion, and sustainable industrial partnerships,” he stated.

As a concrete follow-up, ATTEC signed a memorandum of understanding with the China International Council for the Promotion of Multinational Corporations to promote more structured investment and trade collaboration.

The series of trade missions were also strengthened through meetings with several strategic institutions in China, including the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology as well as the local Ministry of Commerce. These meetings are aimed at expanding cooperation in the industrial, technology, and trade sectors.

In addition, cooperation explorations were conducted with FESCO regarding human resource development and the labour ecosystem, as well as with UnionPay and Sinomac for exploring the payments system, financing, and industrial sectors.

Through this forum and trade mission, Indonesia affirms its commitment to strengthening inclusive and sustainable economic partnerships, while solidifying its position as one of the premier investment destinations in the Asian region.
