The activity took place on Friday (10/4/2026). It was led by the Deputy Chief of Lubuk Linggau Police along with the Head of Community Guidance of Lubuk Linggau Police Resort, and involved personnel from the Community Guidance Unit, the South Lubuk Linggau Police Sector, Community Guidance Non-Commissioned Officers, Territorial Non-Commissioned Officers, ward government, and local residents.

The officers and residents carried out cleaning around the bridge. In addition, the officers also felled a large tree that posed a danger to road users.

This step was taken to improve safety, comfort, and enhance the aesthetics of public facilities used by the community every day. The activity proceeded safely and orderly; the bridge, previously covered in branches and rubbish, now appears clean and safe to pass.

The BELIDA programme is a tangible manifestation of the directives from the South Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, who emphasises the importance of the Indonesian National Police’s presence among the people by carrying out activities that provide direct benefits. This programme also aligns with the policy of the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, who promotes the Presisi Polri programme with a humane approach focused on community needs.

The active involvement of Community Guidance Non-Commissioned Officers as the spearhead in their respective patrol areas strengthens the concept of community policing, where the Indonesian National Police not only acts as a security guardian but also as a partner to the community in creating a healthier and higher-quality environment.

The Head of Community Guidance of Lubuk Linggau Police Resort stated that this activity will continue to be carried out at various points in the region.

“We will continue to mobilise the community to care for the environment. The Indonesian National Police is present together with residents, working together to create a clean, safe, and comfortable environment,” he said in his statement on Saturday (11/4/2026).

The Head of Public Relations of the South Sumatra Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Nandang Mu’min Wijaya, stated that the BELIDA Programme is a tangible manifestation of the Indonesian National Police’s commitment to providing direct service to the community.

“The presence of Community Guidance Non-Commissioned Officers together with residents in cleaning the environment shows that the Indonesian National Police is not only present in law enforcement but also in social activities that provide direct benefits. This is a tangible manifestation of the humane Presisi Polri,” said Nandang.

The South Sumatra Regional Police is committed to continuing to promote the implementation of the BELIDA Programme to build collective awareness among the community in maintaining cleanliness and environmental safety.
