Nearly 100 projects from Indonesia are participating in this event, with 52 selected teams advancing to the direct presentation stage. The winners from the national selection will represent Indonesia at the global final held in Xiamen, China.
The International Economic and Technological Cooperation Centre of China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology serves as the main organiser. Meanwhile, the operational activities are carried out by China-DATANG Corporation Overseas Investment Co., Ltd, with support from various ministries and organisations in Indonesia.

Through this competition, China Datang aims to bridge the innovation ecosystems of both countries so that local projects can access global resources more broadly.
“Through this competition, China Datang hopes to use this platform as a bridge, connecting Chinese and Indonesian innovation resources, helping Indonesian innovation projects access capital, technology, and international markets, jointly promoting the development of industrial innovation in both countries, and supporting the construction of the BRICS Partnership for the New Industrial Revolution,” concluded Jia Bingjun.
Cahyo Purnomo, Director of Regional Promotion at the Ministry of Investment and Industrial Downstreaming (BKPM), explained that Indonesia requires advanced technological support to accelerate the current industrial transformation.

He hopes that through this competition, more outstanding local innovation projects can be unearthed, while attracting more technology and investment from China, jointly driving the enhancement of Indonesia’s industry, and supporting the realisation of the national vision ‘Golden Indonesia 2045’,” said Cahyo Purnomo.
The evaluation of participants is conducted by 10 cross-country expert judges specialising in areas from energy transition to business incubation. The two best projects from each category will soon be sent to compete on the international stage.
