The 8th Indonesia-Belarus SKB meeting discussed various areas of cooperation including trade, investment, industry, agriculture and food security, forestry, banking, health, education, science and technology, culture, sports, and tourism.

IDR 7 Trillion MoU
PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya, a company under the auspices of Jaya Group, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with several Belarusian companies worth IDR 7 trillion. This collaboration is a strategic step to strengthen bilateral economic relations between Indonesia and Belarus as well as open up more competitive markets for both countries.
CEO of Jaya Group Tomy Suhartanto affirmed that the establishment of PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya is a form of the company’s commitment to supporting Indonesia-Belarus bilateral relations through concrete steps in the trade and industrial sectors.
“PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya is a company established under the auspices of Jaya Group. Our focus and concern is to support and take real action to support cooperation between Indonesia and Belarus,” said Tomy Suhartanto in a separate statement.
According to Tomy, this collaboration aims to optimize the potential of both countries so that they can be absorbed and utilized by each other’s markets.
“Our concern in this collaboration is to optimize all the potential that exists in both countries. Indonesia has commodities such as cocoa and palm oil, while Belarusian products that can be absorbed and utilized in Indonesia include milk, cables and wires, and fertilizers,” he said.
PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya signed an MoU with several Belarusian companies, namely OJSC Minsk Dairy Plant No. 1, Energi Complekt, OJSC Dolomite, and Belindo Trade. Tomy emphasized that the signing of this business cooperation is not only for business interests but also to support the government’s strategic agenda in strengthening Indonesia’s international economic relations.
“Our goal in signing this MoU is not only to support the government, but also to provide competitive advantages for the Indonesian market,” he said.
Tomy is optimistic that Indonesia-Belarus economic relations will continue to grow in the future. According to him, the foundation of relations between the two countries has been built since the era of President Abdurrahman Wahid and has great potential to develop more optimally during the administration of President Prabowo Subianto.
