        "content": "<p>Indonesia and Belarus have agreed to strengthen their commitment to\nenhancing economic cooperation. This was achieved through the signing of\nthe Agreed Minutes of the 8th Indonesia-Belarus Joint Commission Meeting\n(SKB) on Economic Cooperation, as well as the signing of several\nMemoranda of Understanding (MoUs) between business entities.<\/p>\n<p>The Agreed Minutes of the 8th Indonesia-Belarus SKB were signed by\nCoordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Deputy\nPrime Minister of Belarus Viktor Karankevich. This signing marks an\nunderstanding between the two countries to strengthen the implementation\nof economic cooperation that has been discussed in the series of the 8th\nSKB, while also ensuring that all cooperative agendas can be followed up\nmore systematically, directed, and oriented towards tangible\nresults.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe agreements reached in this SKB must be translated into concrete\nsteps that have a direct impact on improving Indonesia-Belarus economic\nrelations,\u201d said Airlangga in a written statement on Saturday (May 16,\n2026).<\/p>\n<p>The 8th Indonesia-Belarus SKB meeting discussed various areas of\ncooperation including trade, investment, industry, agriculture and food\nsecurity, forestry, banking, health, education, science and technology,\nculture, sports, and tourism.<\/p>\n<p>On this occasion, Airlangga emphasized that the Agreed Minutes can be\nan important instrument to accelerate the implementation of agreements\nand realize them into cooperative projects that can be implemented.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Deputy Prime Minister of Belarus Karankevich expressed his\ncountry\u2019s commitment to continuing to deepen cooperation with Indonesia,\nespecially in the industrial, agricultural and technological sectors, as\nwell as opening up wider opportunities for collaboration between\nbusiness entities in both countries.<\/p>\n<p>On the same occasion, five MoUs were also signed between Indonesian\nand Belarusian business entities with a total value of IDR 7 trillion.\nThe MoU includes PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) with Nedra Nezhin, an MoU\nbetween PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya with OJSC Minsk Dairy Plant No.\u00a01, an\nMoU between PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya with Energi Complekt, an MoU\nbetween Indonesia Belarus Jaya with OJSC Dolomite, and an MoU between PT\nIndonesia Belarus Jaya with Belindo Trade.<\/p>\n<p>IDR 7 Trillion MoU<\/p>\n<p>PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya, a company under the auspices of Jaya\nGroup, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with several\nBelarusian companies worth IDR 7 trillion. This collaboration is a\nstrategic step to strengthen bilateral economic relations between\nIndonesia and Belarus as well as open up more competitive markets for\nboth countries.<\/p>\n<p>CEO of Jaya Group Tomy Suhartanto affirmed that the establishment of\nPT Indonesia Belarus Jaya is a form of the company\u2019s commitment to\nsupporting Indonesia-Belarus bilateral relations through concrete steps\nin the trade and industrial sectors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cPT Indonesia Belarus Jaya is a company established under the\nauspices of Jaya Group. Our focus and concern is to support and take\nreal action to support cooperation between Indonesia and Belarus,\u201d said\nTomy Suhartanto in a separate statement.<\/p>\n<p>According to Tomy, this collaboration aims to optimize the potential\nof both countries so that they can be absorbed and utilized by each\nother\u2019s markets.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur concern in this collaboration is to optimize all the potential\nthat exists in both countries. Indonesia has commodities such as cocoa\nand palm oil, while Belarusian products that can be absorbed and\nutilized in Indonesia include milk, cables and wires, and fertilizers,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n<p>PT Indonesia Belarus Jaya signed an MoU with several Belarusian\ncompanies, namely OJSC Minsk Dairy Plant No.\u00a01, Energi Complekt, OJSC\nDolomite, and Belindo Trade. Tomy emphasized that the signing of this\nbusiness cooperation is not only for business interests but also to\nsupport the government\u2019s strategic agenda in strengthening Indonesia\u2019s\ninternational economic relations.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOur goal in signing this MoU is not only to support the government,\nbut also to provide competitive advantages for the Indonesian market,\u201d\nhe said.<\/p>\n<p>Tomy is optimistic that Indonesia-Belarus economic relations will\ncontinue to grow in the future. According to him, the foundation of\nrelations between the two countries has been built since the era of\nPresident Abdurrahman Wahid and has great potential to develop more\noptimally during the administration of President Prabowo Subianto.<\/p>",
