Indomobil Hosts EV Expo at Senayan City, Promoting Public Access to Electric Vehicles
Indomobil Group is holding an electric vehicle exhibition titled Indomobil Expo for the first time at the Main Atrium of Senayan City, Jakarta, from 5 to 17 May 2026. This event is an effort to expand public access to electric vehicles amid the increasingly dynamic market growth.
Under the ‘EVperience’ concept, the exhibition brings together various global brands under Indomobil’s umbrella in one location. Some of the brands on display include Changan, Citroen, GAC AION, JAC, Maxus, and Volkswagen.
Ten electric vehicle models are being exhibited, ranging from the AION V, Hyptec HT, Changan Lumin, Deepal S07, Citroen e-C3, JAC Trekker T9 EV, Maxus MIFA 9, Maxus MIFA 7, to the Volkswagen ID. Buzz. Visitors can also test drive several models through the provided facilities.
CEO of Indomobil Dealership Group, Santiko Wardoyo, emphasised that this exhibition is more than just a product showcase.
Through this exhibition, he said, Indomobil aims to bring innovations relevant to current mobility needs while encouraging the adoption of electric vehicles domestically.
He noted that this initiative also affirms Indomobil’s role as a bridge between global innovation and local needs. According to Santiko, the development of electric vehicles in Indonesia currently shows a positive trend. The increasing product choices and ecosystem support make it easier for the public to access this technology.
‘Indomobil Expo is proof of how we are not only following industry developments but also driving its transformation,’ said Santiko.
The exhibition also provides an overview of the diverse characteristics of electric vehicles, from daily efficiency, family comfort, to technology that enhances the driving experience.
On the other hand, Indomobil is supported by a network of dealers and partners across various regions in Indonesia with 3S services (sales, service, and spare parts). This infrastructure is considered important to ensure readiness for electric vehicle after-sales services.
The organisation of the Indomobil Expo affirms the trend of the automotive industry’s shift towards electrification. Moreover, the government will soon provide incentives for the purchase of electric cars and motorcycles.
