Jakarta, Southeast Asia’s largest and most comprehensive textile and garment exhibition, Indo Intertex & Inatex, will return on 15–18 April 2026 at JIExpo Kemayoran, Jakarta. Entering its 22nd edition, the exhibition further solidifies its position as a consistent industry platform driving innovation and collaboration in the textile and garment sector.

As the only exhibition in Indonesia presenting the entire value chain of the industry comprehensively, from machinery and textile products to printing technology and chemicals for textiles, Indo Intertex & Inatex continues to serve as a strategic platform connecting industry players to accelerate growth and transformation in the national and regional textile sector.

Occupying an area of more than 35,000 square metres, Indo Intertex & Inatex 2026 will be attended by more than 800 participants representing 1,500 global brands, and targeting the presence of more than 35,000 professional visitors from 29 countries, making it a strategic collaboration space that drives technology adoption while opening concrete business opportunities for the textile and garment industry.

Indo Intertex & Inatex is not just an exhibition venue but also plays a role in strengthening the national textile industry ecosystem by connecting business actors through business matching programmes that open up cooperation and direct business transaction opportunities. In addition, the exhibition encourages investment inflows and the utilisation of the latest technology to improve production efficiency, product quality, and competitiveness in the global market. Each staging brings tangible commercial impacts, from transaction potentials to the formation of long-term partnerships that strengthen the supply chain and expand market access.

This positive momentum is further strengthened by the signing of the Agreement on Reciprocal Trade (ART) between Indonesia and the United States, which provides zero per cent import tariff facilities for Indonesian textile and garment products through the tariff-rate quota (TRQ) scheme. This policy is seen as capable of enhancing the competitiveness of national products in the much larger US market compared to the domestic market, while supporting around 4 million workers and providing economic impacts for up to 20 million Indonesians. With current export values of around USD 4 billion, the national textile industry is targeting significant growth up to tenfold in the next decade.

Responding to the role of this exhibition, Director of PT Peraga Expo, Paul Kingsen, stated: “We present Indo Intertex and Inatex to meet the industry’s real needs, from bringing relevant suppliers and showcasing reliable technology to creating a business environment that supports industry players in making faster decisions. We also see improving participation quality, in line with the market’s focus on efficiency, innovation, and sustainable manufacturing.”

Meanwhile, Chairman of the Indonesian Textile Association, Jemmy Kartiwa Sastraatmadja, added: “The implementation of zero per cent tariffs through this agreement provides new optimism for the national textile industry. Access to global markets is increasingly open, thereby strengthening Indonesia’s competitiveness at the right moment. We hope this can become the starting point for the revival of the textile and textile products (TPT) industry, by encouraging investment inflows, improving export performance, and reactivating the entire industry ecosystem.”

Several flagship programmes will also be presented to enrich insights and add value for industry players. Interactive seminars and workshops will feature experts and practitioners to discuss current trends, strategies, and challenges in the textile and garment industry. On the other hand, issues of sustainability and textile circularity are in the spotlight, encouraging industry players to better understand and implement sustainable practices that are increasingly relevant in the global market.

In addition, visitors can watch the Trunk Show featuring creative works by designers from the Indonesia Fashion Chamber (IFC), presenting inspiration and entertainment that reflects the dynamics of national fashion industry development.

By presenting exhibitions, educational programmes, and creative showcases in one integrated platform, Indo Intertex & Inatex 2026 offers a comprehensive industry experience. This event not only opens business opportunities but also expands insights and encourages industry players to continuously adapt, innovate, and enhance competitiveness amid global market dynamics.
