Inco's profit increases
JAKARTA (JP): PT International Nickel Indonesia (Inco) posted a nearly 50 percent increase in its net profit in the second quarter of this year, rising to US$13.2 million from $7.4 million in the same period of 1994.
The company said in its unaudited financial report, the higher profit raised the net earning per share to six U.S. cents from three cents in the same period.
Inco's net earning for the first six months of 1995 rose to $39 million from $16.1 million in the corresponding period of 1994.
The company said that the higher earnings were caused mainly by higher nickel prices on the world market.(hen)
