Imsak and Subuh Schedule for the First Day of Ramadan, Thursday 19 February 2026
Muslims across Indonesia began observing the Ramadan 1447 Hijriah fast on Thursday, 19 February 2026.
Ramadan is a holy month eagerly anticipated by the Muslim community as an opportunity to increase worship and good deeds. Before performing the obligatory Ramadan fast, Muslims are required to have sahur (pre-dawn meal) by eating and drinking to store sufficient energy for the fasting period.
Having sahur is also considered one of the sunnah practices in observing the fast.
It is therefore essential for Muslims to pay attention to the imsakiyah schedule and the subuh (dawn) call to prayer to ensure they conclude their sahur on time, fulfilling the requirements and obligations in accordance with Allah's guidance and the sunnah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).
The following imsak and subuh schedules for various Indonesian cities on the first day of Ramadan have been compiled from the Imsakiyah Schedule 1447 H published on the website of the Directorate General of Islamic Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The imsak time for DKI Jakarta and surrounding areas falls at 04:31 Western Indonesian Time (WIB), whilst the subuh call to prayer will sound at 04:41 WIB.
