Two months ago a traffic light was installed at the crossing of Jl. Haji Nawi and Jl. Fatmawati, which did not improve traffic at all. Since then, frustrating traffic jams have become the norm.

The situation is worse than it was when we had to cope only with sporadic jams. Then the road became impassable during early morning and afternoon peak hours. Vehicles were able to move only at a snail's pace.

The funny thing is that no traffic policemen are around to untangle the knot, so drivers disregard traffic regulations, and drive through red lights at top speed.

I appeal to the authorities to reconsider. If you insist on the lights, please explain why the situation has worsened. We feel traffic lights should be installed at the crossroad of the Perla complex and Jl. RS. Fatmawati.
