Bogor - Mayor of Bogor Dedie A Rachim has proposed work from home for Civil Servants (ASN), teaching and learning activities (KBM), and the private sector. The proposal for implementing WFH, he continued, takes into account the situation in the geopolitical conditions in the Middle East region. He stated that the implementation awaits further instructions from the central government, planned after 1 April. “There is already information regarding preparations for WFH after 1 April. Of course, the people of Bogor are not exempt from that policy,” said Dedie at the Bogor City Hall on Friday night (20/3/2026). Dedie asked his residents to understand the geopolitical situation and remain calm due to the ongoing geopolitical situation. “If the fuel supply turns out to be disrupted because of the war, the public must understand and be aware of this. But remain calm, the central government is seeking the best solution so that the public’s condition does not experience excessive turmoil,” he said. Dedie emphasised that he is still awaiting technical guidance from the central government regarding the implementation of WFH in Bogor City. “That’s why, at this time, I am still waiting for the Technical Guidelines (Juknis) on what they will be like. But it has been proposed that schools, local government, and the private sector are preparing WFH schemes,” he concluded. The plan emerged alongside the rise in world oil prices due to the war between Iran and the United States and Israel. “Regarding the study, that with high oil prices, efficiency is needed in working hours, where flexibility for work from home will be opened,” said Airlangga at the Presidential Palace Complex in Jakarta, quoted from Antara on Thursday (19/3/2026).
