Immigration office arrests three Malaysians over working permit
some real oddities in this story.
excuse me, but if they had tourist visas, then (legal) extension is impossible! so what was it; a tourist visa (VoA), or perhaps an extendable business or social visa? why is the head of Bogor immigration office clearly lying about this? maybe he was misquoted ...
indeed, they should pay income tax. but this is not your dept, is it Pak Ibrahim? why bring it up? are you also head of the tax office in Bogor? and how much does Pak Ibrahim know about the complexities of foreign workers and tax numbers?
prosecuted? good grief. why were they not just deported? the answer is money: these malaysians refused to pay up.
