Immigration Forms Dharma Dewata Task Force, Patrols Monitor Foreign Nationals' Activities in Bali
JAKARTA - The Directorate General of Immigration officially formed the Immigration Patrol Task Force “Dharma Dewata” in Bali on Wednesday (15/4/2026). The task force consists of 100 immigration officers. Director General of Immigration, Hendarsam Marantoko, stated that the formation of the task force represents the Directorate General of Immigration’s commitment to ensuring Bali remains safe and conducive for both the community and international tourists. “The establishment of this Immigration Patrol Task Force is a concrete step to maintain stability and security in Bali as Indonesia’s premier tourism destination,” Hendarsam said in a written statement on Wednesday (15/4/2026). He added that the task force will also play a role in providing quick responses to various potential violations. “Its presence is expected to suppress the number of legal violations by foreign nationals (WNA), increase the sense of security among the community, and serve as a direct on-site immigration education tool,” he said. Hendarsam stated that the patrols are planned to focus on areas with high concentrations of foreign national activities. “We will continue to intensify supervision operations, both through routine patrols at the regional level and national-scale operations, to maintain security stability and enhance public trust in Immigration,” he remarked.
