Imelda gives Cory family advice

MANILA (AFP): Former Philippine first lady Imelda Marcos has
offered unsolicited advice to Corazon Aquino, the woman who
pushed her late husband Ferdinand Marcos from power but who could
not stop her youngest daughter getting pregnant by a married
actor.

"If I were Cory, I would reach out to Kris," Imelda told the
Philippine Inquirer newspaper.

Movie starlet Kristina Bernadette Aquino is not on speaking
terms with the former president, a devout Catholic, having bolted
her mother's house a month ago. She has since publicly announced
that she is three months pregnant and living with action star
Phillip Salvador, who is nearly twice her age.

Marcos said Kris "is in desperate need of love" at this time.
Aquino led a "people power" revolt that toppled the 20-year
Marcos regime and forced the first family into U.S. exile in
1986.
