IHSG Slumps in Session I as Foreign Investors Lead in 10 Stocks
Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) fell 4.32% to 7,596.57 at the close of the morning session trading today, Wednesday (4 March 2026). The weakness continued the correction trend that has been unfolding since the start of the week.
In line with this correction, foreign investors were recorded to have sold Rp5.0 trillion in the regular market over the session I. Additionally, foreign buying surged to Rp5.1 trillion.
Thus, net foreign purchases amounted to Rp100 billion. In terms of purchases, the stock Bumi Resources (BUMI) became the most accumulated by foreigners with Rp81.5 billion, followed by Darma Henwa (DEWA) Rp61.3 billion and Petrosea (PTRO) Rp55.9 billion.
Foreign investors also snapped up stocks in the energy and other commodity sectors, such as Bukit Asam (PTBA) Rp50.7 billion, Merdeka Copper Gold (MDKA) Rp47.6 billion, and Medco Energi (MEDC) Rp47.4 billion.
Meanwhile, on the sell side, foreigners were most net sellers in banks. Bank Central Asia (BBCA) became the largest seller with Rp122.2 billion. Next, Bank Negara Indonesia (BBNI) Rp101.6 billion and Bank Mandiri (BMRI) Rp68.2 billion.
Besides the banking sector, foreigners also posted sales in other stocks such as Amman Mineral International (AMMN), Indofood Sukses Makmur (INDF), and GoTo Gojek Tokopedia (GOTO).
