The Jakarta Composite Index (IHSG) closed stronger in the morning trading session on Monday (27/4/2026). The IHSG rose 46.13 points or 0.65% to 7,175.62.

The strengthening of the IHSG occurred amid bustling transaction activity. The transaction value reached Rp 10.36 trillion with a volume of 22.21 billion shares in 1.41 million transactions. The majority of stocks moved in the green zone.

However, intriguingly, behind the index’s strengthening, foreign investors instead recorded a substantial net sell action.

Based on market data, foreign investors recorded a net sell of Rp 1.2 trillion across the entire market in session 1.

This selling action primarily occurred in large-cap banking stocks. Bank Mandiri (BMRI), Bank Central Asia (BBCA), and Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BBRI) became the stocks most offloaded by foreigners in session 1.

In terms of sectors, the majority strengthened, with the basic materials and infrastructure sectors recording the highest gains. Meanwhile, the financial and energy sectors were the most pressured.

This strengthening of the IHSG was supported by commodity stocks. Amman Mineral Internasional (AMMN) shares surged 8.5% and became the largest contributor with an index contribution of 18.43 points.

In addition, Merdeka Gold Resources (EMAS) contributed 6.63 points and Bumi Resources (BUMI) contributed 5.89 points. Other mining stocks like BRMS and ANTM also helped lift the index.
