Jakarta — Foreign investors recorded net buying (net foreign buy) in several shares during trading on 9 March 2026. Various shares from the energy, mining and banking sectors made up the list of equities most collected by global investors.

Overall, the total transaction value from foreign investors in the market recorded buying value of Rp8.758 trillion and selling value of Rp7.648 trillion, resulting in net foreign buy of approximately Rp1.11 trillion during the trading session.

Energy and commodity shares were quite dominant, indicating the interest of global investors in natural resource-based issuers amid escalating geopolitical tensions in the Middle East.

Pacific Strategic Financial (APIC) became the share with the largest foreign net buy, at Rp463.2 billion. This was followed by Indah Kiat Pulp & Paper (INKP) at Rp152.1 billion and Bumi Resources (BUMI) at Rp137.8 billion.

The Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) plummeted during yesterday’s trading. The IHSG briefly crashed 5.2% to the level of 7,156, but trimmed losses to 3.27% or fell 248 points to 7,337.37 at the close of trading.

As many as 708 shares fell, 68 rose, and 41 remained unchanged, indicating significant selling activity in the domestic stock market.

Transaction value reached Rp23.77 trillion, involving 46.64 billion shares across 1,624,710 million transactions.

All trading sectors weakened, with the deepest corrections recorded in the infrastructure and industrial sectors.
